So Underrated - Defecting from Mainstream Culture So Underrated was created to bring to light the things in life that should be appreciated. Being The Defectors we understood this brand's mission to defect from the mainstream more than anyone. We designed them an online community to engage a real offline community of people who are passionate about music, products, and well just random things they think are undervalued in society. The community site encourages and invites user generated content and user participation – users can read, comment, rate, and even write their own posts. We advised and worked with the So Underrated team on the social community strategy, technical scope and interaction design. The end result? Something So Underrated of course.
